Plus points too for Marge Sr., and I hope she showcases her inner Dale / Dee / Dorothy / Elsa soon. I've seen plenty of comparisons to Dorinda and tbh I get that too (also doesn't hurt when they're apparently legit friends ). It's especially notable since RHONJ newbies tend to shape the narrative of the show somehow (Melissa & Kathy shifting it to Gorga family drama, the twins and Amber turning it into their own petty grievances), and Margaret was also able to take hold of the drama (again, her entire feud with Siggy drove the show this season), but for once it never felt disjointed. Margaret: Of all the RHONJ newbies I've seen Margaret is easily the one who was most able to integrate effortlessly.I also especially love that we're being able to witness Danielle live out her love and light, even if she'll eventually find a way to screw that up because duh she wouldn't be Danielle if that weren't the case. Danielle: Even if Danielle Staub returned as a Friend Of who's gotten a jarringly positive / toned-down edit compared to her first go-around, I'm not as bothered by it because a) I *hated* the isolation Danielle got in the first two seasons so her integrating actually makes things better for me, b) it allowed for fantastic closure of the Table Flip, S2 reunion showdown and even the Posche Fashion Show fiasco, c) I'm an absolute sucker for undisputed RTV villains getting surprise redemption arcs, and d) despite the more positive edit Danielle is clearly still a self-victimizing shitstirrer who now somehow has the social currency to get away with it (like, had Danielle pulled off that wineglass stunt in Milan with the original cast she'd get immediately isolated and they'd book her a one-way trip back to NJ never to be seen again).I am sad she's not back for Season 9, but this is one legacy that will always be missed (and if Teresa & Danielle can reconnect after 6 seasons, I can always hope for her stellar Friend Of return on RHONJ14). And then the season went on and I was in awe as Siggy tore through numerous grievances outside of the cake (but somehow directly led by the cake) that then culminated in overnight retreats (and here is where I mention that I also love her brand of crazy seeping into her personal life ), accusations of anti-Semitism, storming the finale party in a cast just to prove a point (and plus points here for delivering on the physical humor ) and an apparent social media rampage. Yes there was definitely an inner crazy waiting to let loose, but when that cake got destroyed, I thought the extent of her crazy would revolve around raising numerous slights about how rude it was to ruin a custom-made cake for a birthday party in Boca Raton (can I specifically side-eye how many Housewives have a Florida connection and somehow we can't keep RHOM afloat? really Bravo?).
